Ian Gecker. Ate at the Summerlin (Las Vegas) store on Sat., May 23 @ 11:40 AM. DeCaf coffee was terrible, tasted like dishwater and was tried from two different serving stations. Burrito was not a breakfast type (surprising for a breakfast type restaurant). Food service slow for a not-crowded restaurant. Lox Benedict was not Nova – very salty. Check was incorrect. Mngr. was nice enough to comp the terrible coffee. Prefer Egg & I overall. We won’t be back.
This place used to be an awesome destination. However, now it is absolutely horrible. What a disappointment!
Ate here twice and loved it. First with family and my boyfriend and second with a good friend. The first experience was great. The restaurant was busy, we were told we’d have a 10min wait, it was 2min. HUGE BONUS. We sat down and were greeted by a waitress who knew exactly what she was doing, not flustered due to the amount of people in the restaurant. The OJ was fantastic, if you like pulp. I had the turkey breakfast sandwich. Super good. Everyone else at the table loved their food. The proportions were perfect. The second day was the exact same. I had the blueberry pancakes. Fantastic. The syrup they bring to the table is warm and has real cinnamon sticks floating around it, makin the syrup extra yummy. This is a great place.
Decor is super cute, but the food is terrible along with the service. Go to IHOP and save some money.
Horrible Service. I took my wife to breakfast at Rise & Shine in Southern Highlands. We requested a booth, but none were available so the waiter/host sat us at a table temporarily while we waited for a booth.He brought us menus, and as he quickly handed my wife her menu he managed to jab her right in the eye with the corner. This was no ordinary paper menu, but a laminated one that was quite sharp. He tried to apologize but couldn’t find the words, he ran off to hide for a minute and I saw him laughing with one of the other wait staff. He came back to apologize and offered her a free breakfast.Shortly thereafter a booth came open, and we pointed it out to him and requested to be moved. He said sure, I’ll be right back. Another couple walked in the door before he came back to us, and he sat them in the booth instead. What a load of crap! We got up and left without ordering. Hopefully her eye is ok…
Underwhelmed. The restaurant was cute with colorful umbrellas hanging down from the ceiling. There was a short line upon entering, but it took us an unusually long time to be seated though we could see a few tables that had been prepped and empty. We decided to share a full stack of pancakes plus strawberries. The sliced strawberries were served on the side and our 5 medium sized pancakes were nothing to write home about. Given the price points, we were underwhelmed by this dining experience.
Good food but WAY over priced. Two adults and one child…$60. Went to Mimi’s and paid half of that.
