Loved the food it’s some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I also have to say the service was outstanding. Now I did go for thanksgiving so it’s possible they up everything but I was so impressed I’ve been telling everyone to go that I can. Very clean and I don’t think their is smoking but they are on the Silverado street side for parking at the casino. I did see children as well.
Flavorful. My family and I stayed at the South Point for the World Series of Team Roping that took place in the Equestrian Center and my brother in law and I wanted a good meal. We walked down and tried to get a table around 8pm, but because of the NFR, we could not get a reservation until 10:00. We were fine with this because we went and gambled a little and then went and ate. I ordered the dry aged bone-in Ribeye steak. One of the most flavorful steaks i have every had. Not only was it seasoned well, you could taste the special flavoring that the dry aged had on it. I am from Texas and know a good steak when i eat one and this was great. My family ordered me the filet to go one night after we went to the NFR. It was good, but nothing like the bone in ribeye. My only complaint was the Shoe String Potatoes (for $7) was nothing but French Fries from a bag. The steak made up for it!
Endorsed by cowboys. For entrees Ann ordered the 8-ounce filet while I went cowboy style by ordering the 16-ounce prime rib. Both entrees were perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested and included a baked potato with all the fixings. My prime rib, served with au jus and a horseradish sauce, turned out to be a mammoth slab of beef with most of the outer ring of fat and near fat removed. I only wish our dog Max had been with us because it took a Herculean effort for me to finish it alone. Dessert was out of the question.07 Oct, 2010Good meal. My wife ordered the line caught king salmon with julienne veggies, pressed potato and garlic butter sauce. The Captain’s entre was an 8 ounce filet mignon served medium rare as requested and accompanied by both mashed potatoes and onion rings. Entrees include a tableside tossed salad dressed with the house champagne vinaigrette. Our server was efficient though somewhat disengaged.16 Feb, 2010Good, not great. 12/13/09 visit: entrees include a house salad tossed tableside with champagne dressing, but it must have just come out of the refrigerator because the dressing was congealed. Ann chose grilled line caught king salmon with julienne vegetables and pressed potato. My entre was prime rib served with garlic butter sauce and a baker. The prime rib, served with au jus and a fresh horseradish sauce, was good, but it should have been more tender. 3 Forks out of a possible 5.
We really enjoy dining here. We have dinner with a group of18 and dinner for just the two of us. Always great service and wonderful steaks.
Pleasant surprise. My wife and saw a movie at the hotel. We wanted to get dinner. There was a line for the coffee shop so we decided to try Silverado. The steaks were cooked as we ordered. They were tender and seasoned well. We will come back.
You won’t believe how good it is. Try it, especially if your a steak person, it’s almost too good. Great pork too.
