Went to B and B Ristorante, at the Venetian on a couples trip. I was utterly impressed, and had the pleasure of one of the most remarkable and memorable meals of my life. The staff was abundant and personally attentive. Our server had an extensive knowledge of fine food and spirits, as well as an intimate knowledge of the B and B fare and it’s preparation. The most impressive element of the B and B Ristorante, was the meal itself, and the care to attention, intensity, and time taken to create them. Many of our courses underwent many hours, or even days, of complex layering of preparation, to create the rich and excitingly satisfying flavor profiles presented. For you Sazerac afficiandos, B and B Ristorante prepares theirs true to original form, with premium cognac.I was truly impressed and grateful for the attention to service and detail, and for the wonderful culinary experience provided by the premier chefs.
Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich bring a wonderful New York style Italianrestaurant to las vegas with B&B Ristorante. The scene is a modern posh decor that fits the food very nicely. Service was as expected with an incrediblyknowledgeable staff with phenomenal recommendations. From the Caramellemade in house with an amazing butter parmesan sauceto the must have grilled octopus, the antipasti/primidid not disappoint and pointed towards a very exciting main course. Based on server recommendation I enjoyed the veal chop for my maincourse. All in all, a wonderful culinary experience.
Dont come to B & B if your hungry. Very small portions. We left there and went out for burgers because we were hungry after eating at B&B. Very exspensive. I would advise you to go elswhere.
I’m basing my dont like rating on the food. If it was based on atmoaphere and service it would be a two thumbs up. The setting is romantic and the service staff very attentive. They also are in sync with each other when they dwliver your food and remove your plates. The food, quite pricy. Our party of 5’s bill came to $550 without drinks. The menu doesn’t have many options which is standard for high end restaurants with very little vegetarian options.
Appetizer B+, Entree F, Ambiance B, Service B. Fried calamari appetizer was beautifully prepared and different than any calamari I’ve ever had. And then came the entree …At the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered lobster with pasta. Marinara sauce had all the appeal of under-spiced Chef Boyardee. I haven’t tasted that taste in 30+ years, but I still remember it. Visible cloves of garlic must have been thrown in as a garnish. Nothing had flavor. This suggests that anything that uses marinara as a base must be awful. Lobster was overcooked and amazingly tough. Whoever prepared my meal seriously needs to learn how to cook. For $30, I’m expecting pasta that leaps off my plate with flavor. Nice low pressure ambiance without Muzak. Still, room was very noisy making conversation difficult. Service was good.Portions are small, which makes quality that much more critical.
Beaaaautiful Experience. Not to kibitz reviewers who reflected negatively on the lighting, but the idea is that you’re supposed to be in a wine cellar. If it’s not to your taste, it’s not, but it’s an intentional choice, which was definitely a welcome one after walking through one too many casino floors. My friends and did 2 of each tasting menu, and being on a budget, paired it with a nice rosy bottle of the Bastianich 2012. The sommelier recommended it and it was an excellent wine since we were dining with several novice wine drinkers. The tasting menu was fun. There were hits and misses, but overall a very fun and positive experience that let us take part of a much larger part of the menu and local faire from the Western US that B and B buys from on their Farmer’s Market tasting menu. The waiter spoiled us with expert dish descriptions. Amazing experience. Considering it’s in the heart of the Venetian / Pallazzo complex, it’s a nice quiet sanctuary in the heart of the Vegas strip.
Excellent. I’m not sure why the scores are poor here. We found the food to be excellent. They had a seasonal ramp appetizer that was great. I had a spicy lamb orecchiette that was outstanding, and my wife had a lamb gnocchi dish that was also excellent. Her quail was disappointing, but my rabbit porchetta was great. The service was also very attentive. All in all, a good experience.
