Admittedly very biased about this place. I just love it. I almost cried when I found out the original in NYC close(d/ing?). Broke my heart. I pray the Vegas outpost stays open forever. Prices are high but my open face Rueben is piled high with meat and worth every penny. I actually want to come back for every meal while I’m here but the problem is, I have many other stops to make. Keep it awesome guys!!!! Btw – the service was really really good despite now ordering at the window rather than placing an order directly with a server. Maybe it’s been this way for a while, I’ve haven’t been here for 2 1/2 years.

After watching The Beatles Love Cirque Du Soleil show, I needed some sustenance after watching it. This was conveniently located in The Mirage near the theatre. Make your order at the counter as well payment there. They will hand you a number on a stand with the receipt in it (make sure you don’t remove this as they need it to deliver the correct food to you). Service isn’t too bad. I ordered a Delicious Homemade Chicken Soup With Matzo Ball & Noodles. It lived up to its name. It certainly was delicious and would be fantastic if you were unwell as this would certainly brighten your day. It had a great depth of flavour. I also had a Potato Pancake and this was served with Sour Cream. It was nice and crispy. I enjoyed it slathered with the sour cream.I observed the pastrami sandwiches and they were massive. I would advise to share one of them if trying one.

Located just inside the entrance at the Mirage hotel this little deli style restaurant can get quite the line up sometimes! But it’s obviously for a reason! I ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich and it was a very generous and great tasting sandwich. Definitely one of the better smoked meat sandwiches I have tried. There was no shortage of meat and the cheese, sauerkraut and mustard complimented it perfectly. It was ready in less than 10 min (but it wasn’t very busy at that particular time).

Best Pastrami I’ve ever had!!!! Of course, being in Vegas the prices were steep but you get a ton of food! If ever near the restaurant again my husband and I would order The Woody Allen and fries and split it. He got the Woody on his on and I got the Pastrami Sandwich and we split a plate of fries. The food came out promptly which was nice. My husbands towering meat mountain was a sight to see. We actually sat at a window table and people would literally stop to gawk at it and some even came up to comment. The pastrami was SO tasty, as well as the corned beef (I sampled his!). Tender and extremely flavorful. The rye bread was soft and tasted the way it should. I dinged them because it could have used a slice of cheese or something to accompany the meat. Ask for mayo too, the mustard on the table is quite fabulous but add a squirt of mayo and it’s golden. Their water was terrible as well, unfiltered doo doo, spend a few extra bucks and get a fountain drink or just avoid a drink.

Horrible, Don’t waste your time.Hard to believe it has gone downhill so badly. The Reuben was hall the size it used to be. Staff were rude and lazy. It is a shame. It was once a great deli.

We had a MyVegas reward for a slice of cheesecake that we redeemed after having dinner at a large dinner Portofino. We ordered at the counter, took a number and our order was delivered to our table. In our case we ordered a slice of plain cheesecake along with a coffee for my wife. The slice was very large and we were pretty full, so we were barely able to put a dent in it before requesting a doggie bag. It was as good as promised when we ate it over the next 2 days.

Dissapointing experience at the Mirage’s Carnegie Deli. It might have something to do with the huge expectations that we had, but still. You order from the counter, it is not a table service which is a bit strange when you are paying 24.99 for a Reuben. The good thing is that you can share because the sandwiches are way too big.Avi Navon Stern
