I’ve just permanently moved from the Bay Area to Vegas. So this review of Pop’s Philly cheese steak is my first review of a neighborhood spot. I guess pops lost moms cuz pop’s sure don’t have it anymore. I was pumped up and after eating half of my number #9 and my chili cheese fries. I was totally let down. Hey beautiful people l always keep my negative reviews straight to the point. Never a need to bash or totally go off about the food. Real simple, I won’t be back.

Oh M-m-m-Y Goodness. If you have to rent a car in Las Vegas just to get from the Strip over to this local legend to sample a Philly, rent the car, a’ready! It’s that good. The building is *nothing* to look-at and one might drive right on by if you were to judge this book by its cover. Because, last time I looked, the building looked like a re-habbed ’50s ‘Durr Weenieschizal’ in great need of a face lift. But the only face lift you need you’ll get from your grin after tasting Pop’s Philly, any way you like it dressed. Provolone, peppers, onions, cheez wizz– They’re big enough to share, or, you can count on undoing a Levi’s button or loosening a belt loop if you tackle this 2-hander all by yourself.
The best cheese steak I have ever had 5 stars without a doubt.
Are we in Philly?. Cheesesteak was great – especially enjoyed my side item (zucchini)… staff was super friendly. Will definitely go again… soon!
Pop’s cheesesteaks are a little tatse of home as i am from the philly area. i was excited when i found pop’s across from charlies. it just does not get any better than cheesesteaks, tastykakes, and birch beer. thanks pop’s
Best in vegas claim. Well they claim to be the best phillys in vegas. i dont know about that, i havent eaten at them all. but i have eaten at pops and they make a mighty fine philly. you know what it was that made the philly great? who cares, it is awesome. and no matter what time of day or night it is, there is a philly with my name on it. job well done pops.
