You honestly don’t even need to read this review, but instead just know this: My experience at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak was one of the best I’ve ever had: anywhere.Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere?Quick and knowledgeable, even though the place was absolutely packed on a Friday night. No complaints here. Star Granted.Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? This is tough, considering my party essentially ordered an all-you-can eat, four course feast. Can you put an acceptable price on all-you-can-eat dining of the highest quality? No, but Craftsteak decided it amounted to about $200 per person including drinks. That’s high. Very high, but not only is this Vegas, but it’s a restaurant inside a hotel, let alone the MGM. To be completely honest? I’m usually a sticker when it comes to overpriced luxury food, but this was so good that I can’t complain. It’s Vegas: treat yourself. Star Granted.Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?I will be the first to say that I have no appreciation whatsoever for fine dining, especially when it comes to steak, but this was some of the best food I’ve ever had. From the fantastic rolls to the appetizers ranging from peppers to prawns, the meal was made even better by the various cuts of meat and breathtaking dessert. Dual Stars Granted.Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could?I would, without question, eat here every day if I could afford it, but I’ll pump the breaks here just because, at the end of the day, you really are overpaying based on the atmosphere and the high price point set by Vegas dining. No Star Granted.
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly. Great quick service. Good atmosphere. Not cheap but what is expected for Vegas. Worth a try
Of all the places I tried in Vegas so far this was the best for me. I know there are a ton a good places to eat in Vegas but this is one I would go back to and refer people to. The atmosphere is on the darkish side with lots of wood and low lighting but you can still read the menu and see who you’re with. It wasn’t over crowded or too loud and it’s right in the middle of The Mirage hotel next to the atrium lobby. The menu is all items cooked on, over or near flames. I love that.Ordered a variety of items and different beers to pair with our selections . Everything that was recommended to us was perfect. I’ve never had bone marrow before and it didn’t come with any kind of toast so I asked if it would be possible to add it and the server was happy to oblige. Bone marrow tastes like warm steak butter with grill marks. It was perfect with the toast and frise salad. The steaks are Kobe which means they have more fat in them. The fat needs to render so steaks are recommended medium vs medium rare. I’m glad I went with the server’s suggestion because each bite was fork tender, melt in your mouth, beefy perfection. The bill at the end was the first time in Vegas that I didn’t almost choke. The prices were reasonable for such a delicious and pleasant meal. Definitely going back and will be my main go to in Vegas alwaysleeann.com
First, the receptionist had attitude, like we didn’t belong. We were dressed business casual. Our reservations were for 5:30p, arrived at 5 o’clock and she stated we would not be seated until closer to 5:30p(they opened for dinner at 5pm). Seated at 5:25pm.Wait staff greeted us promptly and were wonderful. Great explanations. Very helpful.Food was excellent. Different flare from Craft steak- a little less formal in presentation but worth the trip. Expect to spend some cash.

Are you kidding me. Compared to the other expensive steakhouses in Las Vegas, this is by far the worst. Service good but food stinks. Go to maestros, the palm, homestead or cut. Hard to believe the chef has any credibility, much less rating others on tv.
Epic. This was a serious steak dinner at a Celeb-chef restaurant in Vegas. Let’s face it, the only sure thing is the tab is going to be hefty. Having said that, the meal and the service were exceptional. The grilled octopus appetizer was brined and marinated and had a texture I never thought could be obtained when grilling a cephalopod. So good. My buddy had the pork belly and fried oyster appy and made all sorts of happy noises. Cote de Boeuf for two for the entree. Dry aged tomahawk ribeye. Not strongly seasoned, but let the beef and the wood-fire grill shine. Capable sommelier who actually steered me towards a less expensive bottle of wine than I originally selected (turns out they had just sold out and we went with my original pick) which was refreshing. Yeah it cost an arm and a leg, but this was comparable with any of the heavy-hitting steakhouses in town.
