A very nice NBA restaurant situated on the Linq promenade. The space itself is pretty big and we caught a live music night which was really great! We tried some classic American ribs which were tasty and well cooked. The service was very nice and the prices were acceptable.
Virgils is a smokehouse BBQ joint located in the pedestrian plaza between the Linq and the Flamingo. It’s relatively new (I don’t think it was there when I visited in November), but we decided to try it this week.As with all restaurants on the Strip it makes good use of its frontage – nice patio area and bar as well as an ample indoor seating area.The decor is sort of typical smokehouse style – roughy cut woods, outdoorsy feel. It’s not a criticism but an observation. It was busy while we were there and service was a little spotty. The hostess was great but the server was not very attentive. On the plus side the food was first rate – as good as I’ve had for smokehouse outside of Texas. I was impressed with both the ribs and brisket. The sides were also excellent, which is a must for a place like this.Tip it with an excellent beer selection and you have a winner.Prices as Strip competitive so you’re not eating cheap but the quality is worth it.
