Was glad to get into the restaurant after only a 10 min wait for a table as the casino is very smokey. Took a while for drinks but it was Friday and busy so not to concerned with that. We decided to have artichoke dip to start. Dip was good but I have to eat it with the bread they bring to the table because the little baguette crustinis were very hard to bite through. My husband had the big cheese tortellini which was a big disappointment. The pesto was bland, portion small and tortellini was nothing special. On the other side of the table the rigatoni with Italian sausage was amazing. So much italian sausage I couldn’t believe it. The flavour was great and it had the perfect amount of spice. The portion was huge, enough that I was stuffed, my husband had a good helping and I still was able to take a good portion home for later. Honestly I would probably not go back as there are so many other restaurants to choose from but overall it wasn’t bad if you ask me, my husband might offer a different answer.
The bread was amazing and fresh. Great beer and wine at reasonable prices. Jason, our server made some wonderful recommendations. We had the rigatoni with sausage and lasagna. Both were were wonderful! Great food, great atmosphere.
Disappointing Meal!. It started off with disgusting soupy bland spinach and artichoke dip. It came with Chewy hard baguette, which was really bad. It tasted stale. It wasn’t crispy or soft, it was like weird chewy. The lobster diablo was also bad. The lobster tails were overcooked. The best part of the whole meal was the salad. Will not be back.
Great food and fantastic service. The cannelloni is the best I have ever tasted. Even better than in Italy. Definitely recommend!
Came to the grotto for breakfast. The restaurant had only a dozen or so tables with guests. It took 15 minutes for our server to come around with coffee. Then it took another 45 to get our food. The food was alright, but not worth the wait and hassle. Don’t go here if you want a quick meal.
Glad we stopped in. My Italian in-laws loved this place if that says anything. Both my husband and mother-in-law order fabulous veal dishes. The infused oil for the bread is the best I’ve ever had at an Italian restaurant. Good variety and great service.
