This is what food and service is all about!! The theme of the restaurant is pretty good and our waiter Bobby was awesome!! The food was cooked to perfection and they didn’t skimp on the drinks either. The sweet potatoes with jalapeo and honey butter was absolutely delicious and the New York strip and Prime Rib was cooked to perfection. This is definitely a place I would go back to and recommend to everyone.
Romantic, great food and front row view of the Fairmont Street Experience night show while you dine! If you want a steak that melts in your mouth, order the Sally’s New York Strip. It’s my FAV! I order the Wedge salad and smashed potatoes too.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit Oscars yet you need to get there asap! If you’ve ever visited the restaurant when it was center stage or firefly, you know the view is incredible. Now that the ex Mayor has added his touch to this amazing location I can tell you its easily the best steakhouse downtown!
Enjoyable. Have been to Oscar’s a few times (birthdays & holiday celebrations) and had EXCELLENT service & food. Frank was our waiter a couple times; he is great. We had David another time and same terrific service. The first time we went was last year right after they opened. Absolutely no problems; couldn’t tell it just opened.We had reservations but arrived early to have drinks in the lounge. Had a nice time there also. Appetizers in the bar would be a nice addition (as someone else had mentioned).
My husband picked Oscars for our anniversary and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a great view of Freemont Street and has an old school Vegas glam. We sat in a booth and it was very romantic. The service was great. The manager Adam personally made us feel welcome. Oscar’s motto is Beef, Booze and Broads. I thought that sounded a bit cheesy, but the broad ‘Antoinette’ was really sweet and fun. We both had the fillet – very good, no complaints on the food or booze. All in all a fun night and worth checking out if you want to have a nice meal on Freemont. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
The service and atmosphere are great. The food is average – wine list just ok. Not quite enough to bring me back. A great app/bar menu is needed.
