I had the buffet for lunch today – $14.99. Which I that that is a great deal. The salad selection was good – little above average. The hot food had a good selection – great pork tenderloin, good scalloped potatoes, nice fried chicken – but needed a few more veggies. Great touch having boiled shrimp on a lunch buffet.The deserts were top notch – excellent German chocolate cake.
We shouldve gone to the Paradise buffet instead last night instead of Golden Nugget. I decided againat Paradise because basic marketing skills when something is screaming out to be the biggest and best buffet usually means problems. However with Golden Nugget, dont be fooled by the pretty decor outside. The dinner buffet choices wasnt too great. Dry steak. The only different thing on the selection was chicken picatta but that was dry. The sushi was awful dry. My partners cutlery when he unwrapped the first set it was dirty. There was dirty dishes amoungst the clean piles of dishes. I give a one big *SIGH*
Waste of time and money. My girlfriend and I tried everything they had because we would take one bite of something and spit it back on the plate. I’m not exaggerating at all. We went on the higher priced seafood night and the only thing worth consuming was the bottle of Bud Light. $70 bucks was outrageous for two plates and beer. All food was cold and ill prepared. Any fast food joint would have been more satisfying for a fraction of the price.
