When we arrived on Freemont street, walked down the street until we found Binions. Which is a casino, deli, hotel, restaurant and I’m sure a few other things. Being an older place we had a bit of trouble navigating the building. Quite a bit actually. After 20 minutes of taking the wrong elevator or following the signs to the old location we made it up to the top. As we walked in I could tell it was worth the effort. Surrounded by windows with a view of all of Freemont street and the rest of Vegas as well. The old school charm and a view like that is all you need.Once we sat down our waiter ran us through the menu and explained everything. Definitely an older style menu but I’d already eaten at several places on the strip. We traded flatbreads for baked oysters and ahituna for lobster bisque. This was exactly what I was looking for. Started off with oysters Rockefeller, came out quick and were packed with flavor. Then we had a 10oz new York anda stuffed portabella ravioli. Both weredoneto perfection.I have zero complaints about the food. The ravioli was surprisingly enough nearly as good as the steak. swimming in a creamy pesto sauce and packed full of mushrooms. The dcor inside is similar to the menu, old school andas long as you’re in the mood to enjoy a meal with some real old time charm,I cant think of a better place to go, if you’re hoping for glitz and glamour stay on the strip.Overall it was a great experience, food was good, wine went perfect with everything and the views are as good as it gets.Just make sure to get better directions.
