Twists on a simple dish, caution!. I just experienced a simple order of fried chicked. It would be reasonable to think not much could go wrong in not getting what you would expect, right?? Wrong. I took three bites on the first piece. The meat and coating had an odd taste. I asked the waitress about it. She said it was coated with honey and something else before frying. In all it wasn’t a pleasant flavor like you might think. I ate my vegetables and mashed potatoes, good, but the three pieces of chicken were left. Expensive meal when you can’t eat the main dish. No offer to replace the dish. New owners and cooks since the original owners I began with in 1986. So ask about your food order on those simple dishes, you might be surprized.
