The host. The only redeeming factor was the host, Jonathan. Other than that, this place is not worth the expense. It’s mismanaged by shifty eyed Chechnyans with a penchant for not paying their staff. That explains the high turnover. If you want high end, you’ll get it on the drinks. But the food is uninspired.

Mediocre food, tacky decor. I really wanted to like this restaurant, with it’s outdoor dining. We were terribly disappointed. The decor is really outdated and and the food!! In my opinion, the quality was mediocre at best. Nothing sourced locally. The salad with the strawberries literally had one small strawberry sliced thinly in it. There must have been a dribble of cheese. The main courses are ok, although they too seemed to be skimping on the good stuff. The waitstaff seemed really harried. NOTHING seemed to justify the very steep prices. We will not be going there again.

Hardly compares to angelina’s in Concord. Cute and warm environment, but food was dissapointong as well as the service. Waitress would disappear for long periods of time and forgot to brin the drinks we ordered. Also, never been to a restaurant where you have to pay for a basket of bread. Over priced and not worth it!!!

Warm, Inviting and DELICIOUS. As fans of the Bisto Rustica, my daughter and I decided to try Emi and Nina’s full service restaurant and boy were we not disappointed! We arrived impromptu on a Friday night and could have waited for a table (there were booths however reservations were made and alas, not by us) or were able to eat at the bar, which we did. The ambience of the reestaurant is warm colors, soft (but not too dim) lighting and a feeling that definitely reminded me of Europe. My Pomegranite & Limoncello Martini was expertly made and delicious. As we wanted to savor our meals, we opted to not order an appetizer but were shortly served a nice, light yet flavorful bruscetta. Nina recognized us from the Bistro and we chatted while she was washing barware. Her husband Emi stopped by to also welcome us and soon both were bustling on their way as it was a busy night. My Chicken Picatta had a delicate and delicious lemon-y tang to the sauce that was perfect–not overly acidic, rich yet not cream, just FULL bodied. Served on a bed of linguini and fresh spinach leaves, the chicken was expertly prepared, moist and delicious, not a bit of dryness. I have to say, chicken is not what I usually pick when dining out but I am glad I ate this dish and recommend it. My daughter had the Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon with red skinned potatoes and I’m not sure what else (I was so enamored with my meal I didn’t notice hers as much). I tasted the beef and it was prepared medium rare as requested and perfectly (she took a bite of my dinner and proclaimed it heavenly). After we cleaned out plates (restraining ourselves from licking them–how gauche) we shared the lightest tiramasu I’ve ever eaten and a cappucino, also lovely. All in all, we were satiated but did not have that overly stuffed, heaviness. If I had to run, I could have. Prices are not cheap (2 cocktails, 2 limonata sodas, 2 meals, a shared dessert and a cappucino came to about $84 plus tip. Comparable to Angelina’s in price and quality, Old Europe offers a variety of cuisine that engages many nationalities and palates. Highly recommend a visit and a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays.
