Our first time here…superb!! Such a quaint place; friendly staff; amazing food. Can’t wait to bring friends! Stayed with the Greek dishes and nothing disappointed! Loved the Ouzo cake and the Mavrodaphne dessert wine were divine.

Great Greek Restaurant. Amphora is the kind of restaurant that has become addictive. I have not had a meal that I didn’t leave the plate clean. The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is just very friendly and warm. The owner and servers are always there for you. You have to try the calamari appetizer. I love the specialty… Psari-Sto-Filo… a Haddock wrapped in pilo pastry. The Thracian chicken is GREAT. The desserts are home made and very good. There is an interesting Greek wine list.I was never a fan of Greek food until now. Thank you Peter!

Amphora = Average. Went to Amphora for lunch today. Atmosphere was fine and the waitress, pleasant, but always checking how everything was, even before you could take a taste.Got the spinach pie appetizer, which really skimped on feta cheese. I’m not even sure if there was any in it. For $3.00, it was reasonably priced, but only enough to wet your whistle. As for the chicken pita roll-up, it too, was hardly worth it. Price was 6.95 and the pita was filled with tomato, lettuce and onion, but the thinly sliced chicken seemed like they were trying to make it go a long way. It was obvious from the taste, there was hardly any chicken in the sandwich. My coworker got the pork kabob lunch special with rice. He asked if there was red sauce they could throw over the rice. Not! The rice was so-so, very bland. I can’t quite remember any Greek restaurants that have no red sauce available. This is usually a staple. We left there feeling not adequately satisfied and still hungry with the small portions. We don’t plan to return anytime soon.

Fantastic!. The best Greek food I have ever had…and the prices we very reasonable! Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff is great…the owner came out several times to check on the food quality. I would highly recommend it to anyone. What a nice change from all the chain restaurants!

Nice Change for Derry. We have been for lunch and found the people to be very accomodating. Samples of the greek soup and their wine. Soup I would order next time, wine not my type. We had lamb and it was wonderful and took home dessert which was baklava, also great. We will go back again cause prices are reasonable, people are friendly and it is a nice small quaint resturant.

Just okay.. I’ve had some great Greek food from California to Chicago to the NH Seacoast and this was just okay. The atmosphere is comfortable and quaint, I would not classify this as ‘fine dining’ as seems to be their tag line. Spanakopita was a bit bland, salad wasn’t the freshest I’ve had. We also tried the veggie kabob and it was tasty, we enjoyed the lamb chops and the desserts were good. Staff was friendly. Might be a hit or miss depending on what you order. I’ll try again at some point.
