Mmmmm Good!. Any famous place you go who has earned a great reputation is going to have a wait list and some unlucky people who wait just before they close should expect to be sent away, and this is one of those famous places. The food is really good, their breakfast are always awesome and lunch menus is just as good. My favorite 3 you should ask for are: 1. Pumpkin pancakes are out of this world 2. Eggs Benedict are so delicious 3. Burger club for lunch. This place is famous so don’t be surprised to see some famous people eating with their families just be polite and respect their privacy.
Will never eat there again owner has attitude. Very rude. Can’t take any criticism. When I went there I saw lipstick stains on my coffee cup I told the waitress she said to not inform her boss or she will be fired on the spot. I let it slide. She said she was scared of him and did not want to lose her job. I have worked in the food industry for years and am not impressed. I wrote a review on yelp and the owner sent me a threatening message to take down my post. He does this to anyone that has anything negative to say about the place. Scary.
Don’t bother. If you’re single or a quiet couple you’ll likely do ok here. If you’re a larger group or family don’t bother. The food is average and service is fair but the corresponding prices are high. The interior atmosphere is cute. Finding parking is very difficult. The owners are outright rude to the point that the staff are literally afraid of them. The owner Julien also hates children (regardless of behavior) or anyone making noise .. and don’t dare move a table. Kinda like the soup nazi place on Seinfeld .. but for breakfast .. and the food isn’t to die for.
I ordered a nice omelet with toast, the omelet came out and I had to ask for the hollandaise sauce that came with. Then I had to ask for the toast that came with it…. The waiter quickly returned with cold toast. So while I waited for the toast, my breakfast got cold. Not a good presentation.
Saturday Morning. Great little kitchen! Menu is decent size, specials menu available, very creative foods (such as vanilla raisin french toast… beans can and will be served with breakfast). I had the belgian waffles with freshly sliced bananas…. Service could definitely be improved upon…. decaf coffee was cold and I had to ask a few times for some water… overall good experience, would definitely eat there again!
Food was ok, but overall very slow. Also note that on sunday they only serve off of the breakfast menu.
Juliens is an ok place…it got a lot of hype when it first opened and rightly so.The food is decent , but nothing out of the ordinary. However, as time went on and it expanded, like most places that do, I think it’s worked to their detriment. The wait for food is long as there are only two of them in the kitchen and you really have to like those knick knacky things that the place is loaded with. This is a place to express an opinion, so go, try Julien’s yourself and form your own.And please, friends of Julien’s, don’t fill this space up with glowing reviews as you have in other columns, as that’s not the way the game is played!
