Being from the Southwest, we were impressed with the decor and looked forward to our meal. We were not impressed at all with any part of the dinner. It was mediocre at best. I have had authentic Mexican and our enchiladas and tacos were bland. I’m not sure how anyone can call this authentic; at least the cantina look was nice.
Good Margaritas. Ok havnt been on in a while love this place the salsa is one of my favorites. I had nachos and margaritas the hubby had a Burrito. Food is always good service good seemed a little cold wear a sweater.
Best Mexican, hands down!. We moved from NH to Charlotte, NC over 5 years ago and STILL cannot find mexican food that compares to this place down here and nothing compares up there either. Best Mexican food ever…and if you order a margarita, be careful…they do not mess around;)

It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This!. We’re foodies and love all kinds of restaurants, but La Carreta is our overall favorite for food, price, atmosphere, and fun. This is the most authentic Mexican we’ve found in New England, and they keep to their high standards in all three locations. We have never been disappointed and bring all our friends and relatives, knowing they will love it and make it one of their own. Our favorite is the Chori Pollo, a grilled chicken breast covered with fundido and finely crumbled chorizo, with rice and beans and torillas on the side.
