This is an extremely popular location & if you don’t get there early be prepared to wait. When you walk in it’s like going back in time, would love to have time to meander & take in all the history. Service I found to be hit or miss, I guess they are use to a lot of tourist so unless you’re a regular place your, eat & get out. I find the food just okay maybe slightly above average. The soup is loaded with goodies, great seeded rolls, salad is family style, portions are generous though I do not care for their homemade tomato sauce at all so I order dishes with white sauce but they need to be tweaked a bit. Large dessert & coffee menu.

Agree with some of the other reviewers about the atmosphere….I liked..fantastic. Fortunately arrived early and even though it was a Sunday no waiting for a table as there were no crowds. For appetizer had the Zucchini Sticks…recommend. Ordered the Chicken Parmigiana w/ Cappella spaghetti and my wife ordered the Manicotti w/ Meatball. Sorry past reviewers, I thought both of our entrees were very good.

So so.. It is a very busy/ popular establishment, clearly rooted as a family business. Which, I don’t doubt in the least. After, waiting until the table was ready (about an hour). I had heard for an hour about how this was the best Italian/ Italiano resturant in Atlantic City. I ordered the Manicotti Formaggio. I had not eaten all day and my palette was unsoiled. The meal was par. For what I had read about the resturant I expected to be blown away. Instead, I was very disappointed by the lack of quality on the dish. If the Manicotti were microwaved, I would not be shocked. It is not my intent to eat at this establishment again as I languish in culinary Purgatory. Truly, if this resturant is the best Italian in AC… I will stay away from AC on an Itlaian night and stick to northern Jersey.

I’ve been here 3 time already and I love it. The food is real Italian food and it’s excellent.

Horrid, repulsive… Will never ever go there again.. The experience I had today was without equal, not in a good way. Water glasses were set out dirty without a second look. The bread not particularly fresh, the olive (? yellow) oil with it was rancid. The bagged lettuce/salad had a red twist tie like from a loaf of bread in it masquerading as a red onion! The waiter picked it up nonchalantly and walked away, like maybe it wasn’t the first time he’s seen that. The parmesan cheese on the table looked and tasted like it belonged in a cheap pizzeria. One entree was decent, the veal chop special. Chicken parm and veal parm were below average with sauce/gravy/whatever straight from a can. Chicken Florentine was terrible with frozen spinach heaped on top of breaded fried chicken. This was then broiled to melt the cheap mozzarella cheese topping but they also burnt some of the spinach in the process to add some extra nasty flavor to it. The gnocchi with sausage was particularly vile. The sausage was cheap and greasy, the gnocchi obviously frozen and barely cooked. Add the same canned sauce and this dish was absolutely disgusting.I’m shocked by the good reviews I see on here, but if you like canned, bagged, boxed, frozen, processed, pathetic food then maybe you’ve found something. Anyone looking for a decent meal should go somewhere else.
