Wonderful tasting menu. Birthday party for 11. Highlight was the kobe beef skewers and the kobe fried rice. I’d do it again tomorrow. Delightful. And good service too. Armando was attentive and very patient in explaining the menu.
Japanese Delight. Had dinner there last night with my family and thought the food was very good. I live in philly and went to Michael Schulson’s philly resturant Sampan. I thought sampan was good but enjoyed Izakya more. We started off with some small plates whcih included edamae dumplings, miso eggplant, calamari salad, duck buns and black cod sushi roll. All were good except maybe the calamri salad. It was nothing I havent had before. Then we had our entree’s and I ordered the roasted scallops with tempura squash. It was good but the ponzu broth sauce was a little overpowering for me. Then we ended with the dessert, having the smores milkshake which was the shit. The other 2 desserts had are not werth talking about. Overall a resturant I would go to time and time again. People go to the Borgata they have some really good resturants.
Edamame dumplings!. I do not agree with the complaints of prices either! It is a casino so expect to spend some money, duh!!!! plus how can you beat the 7$ menu. My family loves to eat there and it is worth it, sushi is great, atmosphere and food.
Another $7 Monday. This time we tried the spare ribs, corn and endame dumplings in addition to several of our favorites mentioned in other reviews. Frankly, I don’t get some of the posted complaints about prices. We had 4 rounds of drinks and 8 food selection for $136. For Atlantic City this is reasonable.11 Aug, 2009Back again for $7.00 Mondays. The special Monday menu was fantastic. Try the sliders, pork ribs, shrimp fried rice and the rolls.23 Jul, 2009Great Japanese food but very expensive. Dinner for 4 was $450 including tip
Good but not worth it.. If you just recently won thousands of dollars in the casino then this is the restaurant. Everything did taste good, but iv’e been too plenty of sushi restaurants that were just as good for half the price.
Sooooo overpriced! I never knew you could overprice sushi this much. But it was delicious and very cool design. There is better sushi in Cape May for the price
Good food but expensive!!. Just what I said. The tempura sampler was delicious. The robatayaki was also good but too pricey. The roll i had was not spectacular… Verdict: too expensive!!
