My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary in AC for the weekend. We were looking for some place that served a really good breakfast. We took our chances at Kelsey and Kim’s. We scored well here. He had smothered turkey with hash browns, scrambled eggs and French toast. I had a waffle with fried catfish. The gravy in the turkey was second to none! The French toast was thick and hearty! My waffle melted in my mouth. I then understood why they have an entire page on the menu devoted to waffles! We will definitely come again!
My husband and I went to Kelsey’s on Pacific Ave. The staff was very nice. The food was the absolute best soul food I have ever had. I had the ribs, cabbage, Mac n cheese, my husband had fried cat fish and grits. The cornbread was to die for. We ended up taking cornbread home and the next morning it was still moist and very tasty. We can’t wait to go back. Great job Kelsey and Kim, keep building!!!
Worst service ever!!! When we got there and ordered only 3 other families there. It took 30 minutes for our drinks, 45 minutes for salads. Our waiter never showed up to refill our water glasses after several request. I asked for the manager and she never came to the table. Forget asking for cornbread while you wait an hour for your food. Our waiter said we would have to pay for that separately. After waiting 1 hr and 15 minutes after ordering, we walked out hungry. Take your money elsewhere! The only good thing about the restaurant was the dj and even he was extremely loud making conversation very difficult.
Awesome. The food is awesome. I have been there 3 times now. The Fish and fried chicken are wonderful. Fried to perfection. The prices are great. You can’t go wrong. 8 out of 10 stars. Lost 2 stars because the servers can be a little slow. But are very nice and accommodating. This is my new favorite spot. I don’t have to drive to NewYork anymore to get great soul food. Only an hours drive. Well worth it
Absolutely the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Everything here is delicious. I went back again the next day. This place makes other food feel bad because it will never be as tasty.
Refreshing!. I live in Pittsburgh but I’ve gone to a lot of soul food restaurants in my home town and from Mississippi to New Jersey. I must say that my experience at Kelsey and Kim’s was incredible. My husband and I couldn’t stop talking about it. We were blown away by the service, the friendly staff and the excellence in the food. It was so refreshing to see a wait staff without an attitude problem and portions that were definitely worth the price if not more. Even our four year old loved it! She’s a picky eater but was as quiet as a mouse as she sampled food from both of our plates. The mac and cheese was her favorite. We can’t wait to go back!
Some of the best food In AC. My experience with Atlantic City was not the greatest. Over priced average food until we visitied Kelsey&Kim. Things here are prepaired fresh with a short wait for the fried chicken since they bread and fry it as ordered. Some tasty chicken let me tell you. The catfish is a must great coating. I had the collards that were a tad sweet for me but everyone does them different. The red beans and rice was my fovorite but my wife would say it is the black eyed peas that were also outstanding. Very reasonable prices for high quality food. Certainly not like a few of the other restaurants we visited geared to scamming tourists.
