Cook my own food? I don’t think so!. When I pay a small portion to dine out, the last thing I want to do is cook it myself!!! I don’t mind doing fondue for the cheese and chocolate, but we had to prepare our own main course as well! I was shocked and dismayed when raw, cut up meat was brought to us on a platter. We were instructed to stick our skewers (3 at a time) into the little itty pieces of meat and then stick them into the pot of boiling fluid. So we were supposed to cook my chicken and her shrimp in the same pot at the same time! Yuck! The lights were so dim it was hard to tell if the chicken was cooked or not and the shrimp never did lose its ghastly gray color. Basically we had boiled chicken for a lot of money. Sorry, but we hated it!
Pretty gross. Well.. I went here Friday night. I had the 4 course meal. It’s your choice of cheese, salad, main course, and dessert. The cheese wasn’t bad.. not great though. The salad was really small, plated badly, and was really average quality. The entree was foul….. who wants pretty much boiled chicken, steak, and shrimp? You poach it in a broth and it’s just gross. All in the same pot too… ew. The food was really just low quality too.I have to admit the dessert was good.. I enjoyed the chocolate aspect of it. The server was really good and informative.. but overrall bad quality of the food wasn’t worth the $50 per person.. therefore I won’t be back.
Overrated. Way too expensive for me to be cooking my own food! Portion size was not satisfying, but the atmosphere was nice.
Good Experience.. one time. We got the Four course themed meal. We got the cheddar cheese pot, salad, feast with lobster tails, and dark chocolate dessert pot. If we went back, we would probably just go for the cheese and dessert fondue pots! It was definitely an expensive meal, but it was nice having a little private room.
Different. The Melting Pot was quite an experience for my husband and me. The food was very good, but it is definitely pricey. I am glad we experienced it, but I don’t know if I would want to again.
I love the fondue experience. It is a great place but very pricy. The chocolate fondue is the best. 🙂
It was the best you have to ask for a private room to fully enjoy this experience
