Are you kidding? Ordered a beer not on tap. Was never offered a glass. Had a better meal at a pizza place. Save your money. Lots of good places at the jersey shore. This is not one.
It is always a pleasure to dine at La Dolce Vita with we are in town. The food and service is always outstanding.
Wonderful!. La Dolce Vita is wonderful! As soon as I walked in, I loved it! The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was great and quick, and the food was to die for! Highly recommend.
I’ve been eating here for a couple years now and everything has been fresh and very good. Reading some of these complaints,i guess ive been lucky to catch on good nights.
Awful. We sat for 45 min with just water in a not so crowded outdoor room. Who I assume was our waiter took the empty bottle, asked if we were ready to order, and never came back. We had to ask a waitress to take our order an then waited another hour and a half for our mediocre food. It’s a shame since in such a great location with a beachside view.

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. This was easily the worst dining experience of my life. Me and my gf had dinner on Valentines Day 2011. I had made a reservation on open table, when we got to the restaurant they had lost our reservation. Fortunately the restaurant was not busy when we arrived and they were able to seat us. We sat down and ordered the stuffed artichoke to share, two salads, and 2 entrees (i ordered pasta with sun dried tomatoes, broccoli and pine nuts, gf ordered chilean sea bass). The brought out the artichoke almost immediately. It was not great, it was bland and was sitting in a soup of chicken broth. After eating maybe half the artichoke my gf decided that she was not that hungry and wanted to cancel her sea bass. The waiter came back and told her that it had already begun cooking and that we could not cancel it. We said ok, since it had begin cooking already. She literally tried to cancel the order 15 minutes after it had been placed. After the artichoke they brought out our salads, which were fine, no complaints. After we finished the salads, the waiter said he would bring out our entrees. An hour later our entrees had not yet arrived. The waiter came back after an hour and asked if our entrees had come out yet. He apologized and after 5 minutes brought them out. Now remind you, he said the bass had already begun cooking almost an hour ago. I have cooked fish before, it does not take an hour. Which means that the waiter either lied about it starting to be cooked or it was sitting in the back for an hour. The waiter brought out our meals, the bass was ok, but my pasta dish was terrible. The pasta was over cooked (probably from being microwaved), bland, there were no pine nuts, and the broccoli in the dish was all fibrous stems. After this huge fiasco, all the waiter could say was sorry. Thats it. No offer to compensate us in anyway. I go out to dinner a fair amount and have never once been compelled to write a bad review for a restaurant. This restaurant is somewhat pricey and your hard earned money can be spent at a number of different restaurants in the area that can provide you with much better food and service.
