I like it, don’t love it. The food was a bit under seasoned. The main waiter had no personality. We had the fried Calamri which was fried perfectly and the gravy (marinara for the non ethnic people) was fresh and a bit spicy, delicious. The Pesto risotto was seasoned well (the only dish) but it was just a hair underdone, not so much that we would send it back. The Veal Scalopini with shrimp was just ok. Veggies well cooked, you can’t ruin mashed potatoes the sauce and the veal under seasoned and blah. I would say I like it more than I disliked it. I will try again but wouldn’t recommend it just yet.
What a Surprise. Found Cafe Figaro on our way home from meetings. What a surprise! We had a delightful, sophisticated meal with attentive service. The management was watching at all times and involved in our wonderful experience. This is a hidden gem that we had no clue existed. The prices are more then reasonable for the portions. I would describe this as a neighborhood gem. Homemade mushroom ravioli in a truffle cream sauce with shrimp and asparagus, veal milanese, a large pork chop and a triple chocolate desert was our first meal.
