Management and waitstaff encouraged bad, loud, and obnoxious behavior from a client at the sushi bar for what seemed to be forever! When I asked the intoxicated person to tone it down he cursed at me on the way out of the restaurant.What should have been a peaceful dining experience turned out to be a $100 + disaster.Their excuse – he’s a regular customer!If he’s a regular customer and they encourage his behavior then I don’t want to be a part of it.Toro and Nori Montclair! No customers like this one!Never ever again at AKI Bloomfield!!!!
Horrible service. Ordered to have it delivered and after 4 phone called and specific directions and 3 people still could not find the address. Then told me if I want I can come pick up the order but it would take 45 more minutes!! Then said sorry we are cancelling your order. Also last time i went there I had a super long wait to get in and the waiting area is right next to peoples tables where you are standing on top of people. Horrible. horrible service.

The food is good but the service is a little sketchy depending on the waitress. Interior is nice, booths are cosey.
Used to be good. My sister introduced me to the restaurant. It was good,at first. Lately my visit here has been sub-par. The food portions have gotten smaller, but the prices have remained the same. It’s a tad overpriced and lately the service hasn’t been too good.On my sister’s last visit, the staff pestered her and a friend to pay more for their tip. Needless to say, Aki has lost some customers.
Loved this place! I’ve been to many many sushi places and I am very particular. The sushi was very fresh and the service was great, despite it being very crowded. I will definately be going back. It was a bit expensive but well worth the price. :). It’s local to where I live which makes it even better!
Overpriced, Mediocre Sushi/Japanese Cuisine. The ambiance and booths are all to like about this place; the service was gruff, and the food overpriced and lacking in flavor and freshness. Will not be going back.
