Food was excellent, as well as our server. It was a very warm night, however we were very comfortable under the tented area. Atmosphere is nice. It is cozy (for lack of a better term) however the food is worth it. Had blackened yellowfin tuna, and my wife had macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi. Would go there again in a heartbeat, however it can get pricey, and is not recommended (by me at least) to bring your kids there.
After our last visit here, we were really looking forward to tonight’s dinner. Our waiter, Paul, was great; he knew the specials and had a great demeanor. Sadly, the food, with the exception of the crawfish bisque, wasn’t what we have come to expect. My wife had the swordfish which was overcooked and tough (the lobster cream sauce was good though). I had the special pork chops served over a port wine Demi-glac; just okay. May try again, may not.
Also we loved the desserts. Great cheesecake, bread pudding and key lime pie17 Jun, 2011The tuna, the swordfish, and the pork chops were all 5 star dishes. The salmon special was also delicious. The tuna was hearty, the swordfish was creamy and the pork chops tasty and liked by an 8 year old. Great entrance way and nice ambiance (although a little noisy at times) all made the experience great. Highly recommended
Sit in the restaurant, not the tent. Had dinner on a hot night. Hotter inside in the tent, humid, tables really close, cant get up without disturbing the diner behind you. Food was great, service just OK. Can be a long wait. Not sure it was worth it.
My family had Shrimp; Tuna; Maui Maui; Chicken; Pork & Escargot. Service & food was excellent. I give this place 5 stars.09 Aug, 2010My family had Tuna; Maui Maui; Shrimp; Escargot; Chicken; & Pork. All were excellent. Give the food & service 5 stars
Very sorry to say…. This used to be my very favorite restuant of not only south jersey , but of anywhere I have traveled. The service used to be outstanding. I was looking for reservation October 20089 and read up on the reviews since I have not been there in about three years, sounds the same as was then. The service which year after was the same wait staff, was very outstanding, and then I don’t know they became unattentive, disappearing for pweriods of time. The food I always enjoyed, it was a wonderful along with the ability to BYOB. It’s just not the same anymore.
The BEST restaurant around!
