Best Restaurant in Cape May. We stayed here at The Inn for our 40th Anniversary and ate here again at the restaurant while we were here at the Inn. We have now eaten here nine times and found each meal outstanding and well worth talking about. This is a BYOB place so it cuts down on costs and lets you bring and drink what you like best. This time we had during different night’s meals the succulent scallops, the tender hanger steak, the beautifully cooked filet mignon that melts in your mouth and the Scottish salmon that is excellent with every bite as a sample of our meals. We had the wonderful pear salad, different style and presentation calamari salad that had great taste and crispness, and the acorn squash bisque that oozed with flavor as a sample of our appetizers during our dining visits. They serve French Pressed coffee with your meal which is a real treat. Everything was superb and didn’t disappoint in any aspect of our meals from soup to nuts. The quality of everything is top notch and flavorful to the last bite of every meal. We also had the flour-less chocolate cake one evening, quiet excellent. Mike, Angela, Tom and Courtney do a bang-up job in the kitchen by producing such quality fare on such a consistent basis. The service by Alla, Lurisa and John as well as Justin and Joan is expert with its low key and yet warm attention to every tables request and needs. The dining room tables are beautifully decorated with silver flatware and beautiful blue glasses over white tablecloths. Also the unusual origami rose folded napkins that appear once in awhile from time to time on the tables is a real treat for all to see (Picture included for those who have never seen them). The dining rooms are calm and comfortable so you can talk without shouting and relax and enjoy your meals. There is always someone in the room so your every wish is solved quickly no matter what your request is. Joan and Justin as well as Tom visit every table and see how your stay with them is going. There is no request to great that they can’t solve it on the spot. There were large parties while we were there and they fit in quite well with the other smaller dining parties. We had conversations with our fellow patrons near our table every night we were there. People were happy and laughing while their meals were served and eaten with great relish. I highly suggest you try this gourmet restaurant for a chance to taste perfection and great skill all wrapped up into, The Blue Rose Inn’s Restaurant to be found in Cape May…….
Blue Rose – Cape May. My wife and I had a fabulous 3 day weekend at the Blue Rose. This Inn was completely remodeled in 2012, so the Inn is beautiful. I would highly recommend the Blue Rose as this is the best Bed and Breakfast experience we have ever had. This is a true family run business, from the owner to the chef to the inn keeper. All are top notch. We stayed in the Blue Room. The bed was very comfortable, the room beautiful and the area is quiet. It is 2 blocks from Washington Mall shopping and close to the beach (beach chairs provided). The food is fabulous (You can chose off the menu for breakfast so you are not limited to a set menu). The chef makes home made pasta every day (The Duck ravioli is spectacular!). Best food in Cape May and reasonable (BYOB). Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to everyone. The only issue (in the future) is how they will handle the growth that will come their way!!
Sunday Brunch Great Too. We loved our dinner at Blue Rose Inn a few days ago so much that we came back today for Sunday brunch. It was great. They have a small a la carte menu…..2 of us had eggs benedict; 1 had brioche french toast; and 1 had eggs/bacon/potatoes. All delicious. We also shared an order of lemon ricotta donuts (made with their own homemade ricotta). OMG….they were to die for! Do not miss!07 Aug, 2013Fabulous new restaurant. We love Cape May for dining and were delighted to stumble upon this new gem in Cape May! It’s not a huge menu, but at our table of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) we had 2 different appetizers, 4 different entrees and 4 different desserts. All were wonderful, although I suppose the best-loved were the calamari, salmon, gnocchi, and the chocolate flourless cake. I personally also loved the French pressed coffee, which was a great touch. We ate inside in a lovely (newly-renovated) room that was much more spacious than most other tiny restaurants in this town. Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. We will definitely return!
