Terribly disappointing and overpriced
Don’t Get Suckered by the Magnolia Room. Fool that I was, I paid 34 dollars for the three-course pre fixe fried chicken dinner. In my defense, the USA Today rated this chicken as among the best to be had in America, and the stuff is supposedly prepared by a couple of old black ladies named Lucille and Dot. Who could resist! Resist. The chicken was completely dry and tasteless. In all seriousness, Popeye’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken serve far better chicken than this place. Now my salad was very good, and the corn chowder was decent, but in addition to the pathetic chicken, my corn on the cob was tough and undercooked. In short, this was the worst dining experience, by far, that I’ve had in Cape May.
