Located in the main tourist area. Good service and a nice variety of fresh seafood. The fries with crab meat cream were an interesting twist on smothered fries. Flounder sandwich was really great and huge. Crab cakes were delightful!
I’ve been going to the Mug for more than 15 years I think, and they have gotten progressively worse. The last time I was there was only last week and I’m completely disappointed. We had dinner at about 6pm. The restaurant was crowded which is fine, but not only did we have the noise of the crowd, the music was blaring which I found to be quite rude during dinner hours. I can understand later at night but not during dinner when people are trying to talk and socialize. In addition, we all had burgers which were ridiculously expensive to the tune of $15.00. I understand the Mug is a tourist trap but if one is going to serve food at such a cost, then make it worthwhile. Make the portions slightly larger or add a side such as fries to the plate. For $15.00 the burger came with a extra small bag of potato chips which I thought was so classless and was advertised with a Ciabatta bun which was dry, cold and tasteless. We also ordered the infamous apple knockers which are supposed to be served hot but arrived at the table room temperature to the tune of $9.00 EACH! As previously stated, the Mug is getting progressively worse as we had a similar experience at our last visit. We won’t be going there anymore.
