Extraordinarily tasty. The lump crab meat on top tastes like the crab just swam ashore. The preparation of the fluke filet was perfect: lightly browned and flakes when you tap it with a fork. Would have liked more than 4 green beans with the meal. I’d order it again on a heart beat.

Best Restaurant in Cape May. We ate in the Washington Inn in May (off season) and were very happy with the food, the service, and the ambiance. Try their wine flights (three 2-ounce glasses).

FANTASTIC. We got so lucky that they were open since we went in January and found out they are only open on saturday nights which we happened to be there for!! We didnt have reservations and were very lucky to get in. ALL the staff were so WONDERFUL!! Our waitress i think her name was tina was SOO WONDERFUL!! she explained every dish and knew the menu inside and out and when we asked about a few things she explained everything and even told us when asked between two dishes which she thought was good and without hesitation she told us!! When we asked her about certain wines she knew what she was talking about. She also when i asked about port she said well thats the one kind of wine i dont drink. So it was so nice her honesty but she did tell us the most popular ones. We first had appetizers! My sister had both the lobster bisque soup and the cheese with fig sauce. I had the risotto fontina which was AMAZING!! My sister loved her soup and the cheese and of course she stole one of my risotto fontina balls!! My appetizer was perfect the outside was crisp and crunchy and the fontina cheese was perfectly melted on the inside and of course the risotto was cooked to perfection! We had a wine flight the red which had a german pinot noir a malbec and a grenache. All were wonderful and complimented eachother! For entrees my sister had the crab cakes and I had the bacon wrapped filet. My sister loved her crab cakes and my filet cut like butter and was cooked to perfection! I asked to not have the horseradish sauce and said for the chef to pick something instead (i really do not like horseradish) the sauce was so perfect i cant imagine that it would come with anyother!! Now the best part was the desert of course. I had the creme brulee and my sister had the chocolate swirl cheesecake. Both were SO good! I cannot speak highly enough of the food the service and the atmosphere! When we get to go back i have no doubt I will ask for our server and enjoy EVERY bite of everything we get! It was such a great end to our trip!! I just wish we lived closer so we could eat there a lot more!!

Had a wonderful dinner with a beautiful date; we ate a prix fix menu during Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious, the Peeky crab risotto with tarragon pesto: simply the most delicate crab dish I’ve had, the dish had a complex balance that was comfortly inviting. For my entree I chose an organic farm raised chicken with chimmichurri and a vegetarian salsa that came served over mashed potatos and green beans: that was a perfect match for the summer it was light and refreshing, the salsa consisted of mushroom squash and zucchini that matched the sweet vibrant chimmichurri sauce. For desert I had a vanilla bean creme brulee with garnished with strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry (which I would like to believe are from local farms) that was lush and over all a great end to my meal.

Very delicious. The early-bird selections were savory. At $22 for a three course -of this quality- is certainly the best deal in town. More formal and finer dining than the Lobster House. Certainly a shirt and slacks for the men. Service was good. Atmosphere, though slightly cramped, was homey. Food is outstanding. Filet done beautifully. Visit this fine place
