  NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE. We were there last night and unfortunately this restaurant is deteriorating. They have removed the table clothes and have simply spread napkins across the institutional looking mismatched tables. There was no clear designation of who our waiter was. The cadence of the dinner was horrible. It took 45 minutes for the first course to arrive. After our second course it took at least another 45 minutes for the entrees to be served.The food quality has also slipped. My wife had the seafood special which consisted of crab cake, scallops (undercooked) and shrimp drowned in a sauce which she felt was more suited to red meat. I had the rack of lamb which unlike previous visits was just ok. Over two and a quarter hours to dine on mediocre food in a BYOB and a bill that is over $100 pre-tip. I don’t think I can handle another dinner here.31 Jan, 2011BEST FRENCH FOOD BUT MADDENINGLY SLOW DELIVERY. Back again and it is still the best French restaurant around. Nothing has really changed. The chef still cooks the orders one table at a time. So if there are 6 reservations for say 7:30 and yours is the 6th table to order, nothing much happens with your order until the other 5 are completed. Consequently, dinner can take up to 2 – 2 1/2 hours. But it is worth it because the food is great. So bring a nice bottle of wine with you and sit back.14 Oct, 2009Very good French food. We both did the prix fix menu and both started with the French onion soup and house salad. I had the skate and my wife had the rack of lamb. We finished it with apple pie and vanilla ice cream.

  Dad’s 82nd birthday. Heard mixed reviews about this restaurant, but we are adventuresome so we tried it. Service is fair at best… not polished and not in sync with patrons. Ordered prix fixe or so we thought… Esgarot was fair, not prepared like the French restaurants in Philly or Manhatten. No garlic or butter? Really? Bill comes and we are charged for additional glasses of lemonade and iced tea!!! Really? Who charges for additional soft drinks? Brought it to the manager’s attention.Beth, who totally does not have a clue concerning customer service. Also charged ala carte for a prix fixe!!! We dine in the finest restaurants and NEVER have we encountered anything like the service or food at Dream Cuisine!!Sorry Dad, you deserved better!!!

  Nightmare Cuisine. To celebrate her 64th birthday, my wife and I, seeking a quiet, relaxing evening, chose Dream Cuisine. The first disappointment: it looks like a diner, with tables a foot apart, and an open noisy kitchen with Chef Fanari hollering at the staff, banging pots, pans, dishes in apparent anger. So much for quiet. After a sparse house salad and a tasteless app of escargot, my steak arrived, too well done. The waiter took it back and returned, saying the chef refused to make it right. After my wife finished her ok rack of lamb, Chef Fanari came to the table, angrily causing a scene over the steak. The waiters physically escorted him back to the kitchen. I walked out leaving my wife to have her desert, alone. So much for relaxing.
