Ming Garden is in the Ellisburg Shopping Center, next to a Whole Foods. This is the second establishment I’ve come across in this area that is midway between a Chinese takeout and a Chinese restaurant. The kitchen and order counter seem geared mostly for Chinese takeout but they do also have a number of tables for dine-in. Service was rather efficient and friendly. The lady from the counter and a guy from the kitchen took turns taking orders and bringing out food. In terms of flavor and presentation, the food was definitely a cut above the average Chinese takeout. No yellow rice syndrome was in evidence and their sauces and ingredients were a refreshing change from the ordinary. This place will be on my list for the next time I’m in the area.
