Excellent local Italian restaurant. Sep 2011 Update: Our dinner was so good tonight it is hard to describe in words. Had the zuppe de clams, shrimp scampi, and the pasta with crab in a cream sauce. All of the dishes made you want to lap up every bite of the sauce. Clams and shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. Pasta was al dente. Just outstanding. And it remains very reasonably priced. Bravo!Old review: This is the classic red sauce Italian restaurant you would expect in New Jersey. Look past the shabby decor and just enjoy the food for what it is. Spaghetti and meatballs are excellent. Sauteed escarole is about as good as I have ever had – loaded with garlic. Have brought family members from other states who can’t find Italian food that even touches this. Prices are more than reasonable.
