The Tratoria as a new addition brings the best of Italy to Northern NJ. The atmosphere is festive and each dish fresh and outstanding! Bravo VALENTE! It is a BYOB so the tab is very reasonable especially considering the high quality of the food and friendly accommodating staff. It is worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed.

Don’t Miss This One!!. This is not only a bakery!! Its a bakery/deli great sandwiches and homemade soups and hot entrees for lunch made with fresh bread made on premises the old fashion way by hand.. no machines here.!! It has a newly added small restaraunt which I tried for the 1st time last night.. Starters was calamari.. so very very tender… oysters rockefeller.. I don’t eat them husband said they were fantastic.. and a salad which I forget the name of it but its on the menu.. arugula mozzarella and avocado onion tomatoe with balsamic dressing.. wow.. a great combo the creaminess of the fresh mozzarella (which is made on premise also) and the avocado amazing and the dressing was definetly made with a good balsamic. Dinner we had a grilled veal and grilled shrimp which our wonderful waiter Moe decided for us.. and then OMG he gave us meatballs to try.. really really I don’t order meatballs out ever.. These were awesome,, handmade by the owner himself.. We had him bring us more they were so good. the people next to us were raving about them too they had the meatball sausage and braciole all homemade even the pasta!!! ..I was told they are serving that dish every Sunday. So instead of having Mom cook a Sunday meal take the family out bring a few bottles of wine and relax. We did not have dessert which I am sure is good also and probably made by someone in the family.. but the coffees/capp’s were perfect.. Trust me you will not be dissapointed here.. They have a large TV also and its a BYOB…
AMAZING!!! SO AUTHENTIC. They have the most amazing sandwiches and bread. They make their own bread right in the store and you can tell the bread is fantastic quality. The cold cuts are so fresh and everything is imported from Italy. My husband and I have been going there for years and we can’t get enough. We just tried the restaurant that they opened up next door and as we expected the food was great. It’s called Valente Trattoria. Definitely one of our favorite spots in Bergen county!
