Great no frills stand up counter service for deep fried dogs with homemade relish and chili on the side. Dont expect anything else. That’s what the place is about.
Ok, just saw RH on TV. Dudes, wearing gloves isnt to prevent your hands from getting dirty, they are to prevent your hands from making the food dirty and you must keep changing out the gloves. So I see dude making dogs and handling money all with the same DIRTY gloves. Stop wearing gloves and start washing your hands, you know? SMH! btw ya know whats on money that you transfer onto the food? Boogers, snot, pimple juice, $hit, drugs, eye boogers, mersa…..

So much history in my life includes Rutt’s ! Been going there from the 1960’s on, remember meeting my first girl friend there and taking my Ex wife there for our first date ( didn’t want to spend A lot of Coin ) remember loosing my license first time while drag racing on ( Mcarter Hwy) now rt. 21 so many great memories I currently live 40 miles away but still make it up to Rutt’s several times a year. I remember some of the old timers that worked there Fast Eddie , Marfha , and the whole crew. People came and went but Rutt’s will remain Rutt’s forever ! Enjoy the food there my Fav’s are burgers dipped in gravy, and those wonderful deep fried hot dogs ( ripped ) and loaded up with their famous mustard and relish ! And always a side of fries with gravy on them and a cold soda to wash it down.
Gerald T. I get it definitely has his history generations have enjoyed it.But I just think it’s a bit overrated definitely old school service not a contemporary spirit in there for sure.
In California,,. Miss this from back home, sure could use a few rippers now.
