Our favorite romantic spot. This is a wonderful spot for special days or just for a romantic evening for two. We’ve been here 5 or 6 times over the past two years and every evening has been memorable. They have great food and an attentive staff. I do recommend you make reservations, though. They fill up quickly.
Awful. I’m not sure why this place has gotten good reviews because literally everything we ordered was awful. The risotto was not smooth and creamy, the sauce tasted like ketchup and the seafood was over cooked. The grilled calamari was like chewing on a rubber tire and the chicken in the orecchiette pasta was chalky. I highly recommend going somewhere else.
Dolly and I just don’t understand why people say they love this place?! I guess it’s because the food is cheap? That’s great and all but the food tastes cheap! Don’t like it. Don’t like it one bit!
THE ONLY REASON THIS IS SO POPULAR IS THAT IT’S CHEAP. I knew we were in trouble when we arrived on time for our 7:30 reservations and there were about 15 people waiting outside for their tables.This is a small restaurant and the tables are uncomfortably close together. We were seated a little after 8:00. When we mentioned something to the hostess, another person who turned out to be our waiter jumped in and said this was to expected. After being seated, he came to the table twice trying to say that it is ok to take a reservation and then seat you whenever. I object to this. We made our point and he made his at the hostess stand; don’t continue it at our table.We shared orders of the tomato and mozzerella and the gnocchi which were good. My wife had the veal saltimbucca which came out strangely looking like veal marsala.There were lots of mushrooms and brown gravey. She inquired where the prosciutto was and was told there were ground up little pieces in the sauce. I had the veal mozzerella which was a veal parm with sliced tomato instead of sauce. The entrees were just OK. In summary, I don’t need the drama; don’t need the wait. I’ll spend more elsewhere to be treated better.
Terrible wait to be seated. 1 hour after reserved time. Food very good. Reservation was for 7PM. Were seated at 8PM. Did not put an order in until after 8:30. Food was excellent. Portions larger than expected! One of the best Filet Mignon I have ever eaten.
Absolute treasure. Antipasti was delicious and the meals even better! We had risotto with mushrooms and shrimp which was absolute great and gnocchi with cheese which just melted in your mouth! Service was excellent and don’t leave without having tiramisu! It is the best!
Too crowded, average food. I could deal with the crowd if the food was outstanding. Yes the prices are very reasonable, yes you get large portions, yes the food isn’t bad BUT there are way better Italian restaurants within a few blocks (Sapori’s) add that to the fact that the decor is not attractive or comfortable, there is no waiting so customers are standing next to your table staring at you, waiting for you to get finished eating or staring at you through the window.
