Their bakery goods are stale! It’s a sin that they’re making money on this crap! Every single item was stale Non-edible. I would be ashamed to offer this to a soup kitchen. I ordered 3 things and they forgot one of them as well. Just an added bit of aggravation to my day.
OWNER IS NASTY & ARROGANT. The owner lied to me after promising me a cake and when I went to pick it up it wasn’t ready. I had already paid in advance too! What a mistake. Go on google – I am not the only person to have an issue with the owner. She wouldn’t refund me my money and told me to leave the store after she had my money!!!! Funny thing is the one positive review I came across is written by there eight year old son on this website. Of course the picture is of a child, but the writing is clearly from the owner! Go to Mendokers for quality service and food or just go to Shoprite!
Horrible experience! was a customer for years and now will never go back. I live less than a mile from this bakery and have been using them for years for various holidays and occasions. For my daughter’s birthday over a month ago I ordered a cake from them and paid in advance because I didn’t want to wait to pay when I picked it up. Big mistake. They had no record of my order when I got there and instead offered me a completely different cake. I had no choice but to take it but said that I still would need writing on it. The girl who did it clearly had no experience (and even admitted that it was the first time she had written in icing on a cake) as it looked like it was written by an elementary school student with bad handwriting. Not her fault, she was the only girl who was working there that day, but it was too late for me to go to a different bakery. I took the cake and said I would be calling again later in the week to speak with the manager/owner. For the past few weeks I have called and visited the bakery numerous times, each time I am told that the owner is either sick or not available by phone. Now I have resorted to writing this review to warn others of their customer service. Please reply to this thread with any other recommendations you may have for other good bakeries in the area as I certainly will never be going here again.
