Ambiance 5/5 this place is interesting and memorable but the acoustics on some of the tables could give you a hard time. So I’d say it’s a cute date spot but maybe not a first date. You don’t want to struggle. I had a spicy hot chocolate last time I was there and it was legit spicy. It’s been open in the same spot for years. I go roughly once or twice a year with my wife or if someone is visiting from out of town. I usually just go for dessert or coffee and they have really interesting cakes and desserts and drinks. If you are outside unsure if you are in the right spot and you see a building with curly sculpture bits. You’ve got it.
This Resturant went to FAR they kicked my family of 5 and my child out of the place because my baby was laughing, It was a sunday night and there was only one table at the place. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, after being seated we waited 20 minutes for the waiter, once the waiter came he SHOCKED US with the disturbing news (quote sorry but we can not serve you because your baby is loud we need you all to leave). I thought he was going to ask us what would you like to drink not that you need to leave! I WAS devastated we drove an hour from staten island to eat here and this is how we got treated. WHAT IS THIS ???? THE waiter PRETENDING TO BE THE owner had no remorse. THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR RESTURANT i did not know we are not allowed too laugh in public! My daughter is 10 months old she was laughing not crying or yelling. SHAME ON THEM SHAME ON THE OWNER for allowing this to happen.

Great Place…. I love this place.. Been here many times, and can’t get enough. This place has everything, ambiance, music and dessert. I love their selection and I will be back :O) Thanks Archetypus muah!!! xoxoxo
Romantic atmosphere, decent food. My husband took me here on our first date! It was romantic, but not too cheesy for a first date. It was definitely a unique experience. The wait staff was attentive, the food was good, and the prices were good as well (though I didn’t pay, hah.) We come back here every once in a while to relive old memories.
Archetypus Cafe. Good. Not a lot of selection of Greek sweets and delacacies, but good ones that they do offer.
