Great Mexican food in S Jersey??. I grew up in California, and have spent some time in Mexico. So when I say this is some good authentic Mexican food, take my word for it.I had the blackened Mahi-mahi tacos. They were fantastic! Just like something I would expect to find at a restaurant in San Diego. They work with a distributor in North Jersey to get the proper ingredients, and their cook is from Mexico herself. So the recipes are those you would find in Mexico.The atmosphere is fun with all kinds of old pictures and pottery. Only one thing it was missing was some fun music. Maybe they just weren’t playing it that day cause it was super quiet. I would tell anyone who has a hankerin’ for some traditional south of the border food that they would have to check this place out if they were in the Atlantic County area. Note that the place is small so if you’re going for dinner I would highly recommend a reservation.
New favorite mexican spot! cute tiny little place with great atmosphere! waitress was very friendly and helpful. being a picky eater, it was very easy to adjust to my tastes. love!!! must go!!!
Just go on in and put on the feedbag.. There is a reason El Coyote has high ratings. Great food. You will not be disappointed
El Coyote is simply DELICIOUS! We made our reservation because it was recommended but found that it wasn’t as crowded as we had anticipated (which was good). The server was such an amazing an update young girl who gave us awesome recommendations! We tried the sampler platter which included steak and cilantro empanandas, coconut shrimp, tequila lime chicken fingers and stuffed jalapeos and EVERYTHING was amazing! The salsas and chips were also so very homemade and authentic and the guacamole was to die for! Needless to say we were already heading towards being stuffed but we had to order entrees! The carne asada steak and potato burrito was killer and the chicken and shrimp enchiladas in salsa verde were out of this world as well! The restaurant is a BYOB so we enjoyed our bottle of wine to to it off and had no ro for desert. We are definitely coming back!!!!
I have eating twice here, both times take out, and both times very good in taste and size portion, I had the taco salad very crispy shell and fillings very tasteful, the shrimp and crab saute’ done nicely, not under or over cooked, also the pork El coyote, would recommend for those who like Mexican food

CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Excellent fresh food. It’s the total package…quality and quantity! I can be picky at times and they work with me without a problem. You MUST try it. You will be hooked! Thanks El Coyote…forever a loyal customer!
