Good food but…. There’s no doubt that Gaspare’s has good food but the owner’s wife that sometimes runs the take-out counter is totally disrespectful and rude. There’s plenty of other good Italian places around here that I could order from just so I DON’T have to hear her bad attitude for no reason again.
EHT loyal customer. I just ordered from Gaspare’s Gourmet Italian Bistro in EHT. I ordered from the early dinner special menu. …shrimp stuffed with crabmeat. The menu I have said $18. It includes bread, side of pasta and sml salad. I ask the girl on the phone how many shrimp do you get. She told me 6 colossal shrimp. I said okay delivery please. She tells me the total of $26 and I said that is not what my menu said. The owner gets on the phone and tells me the price has changed and it is $21 for the order plus 2 for delivery for a total of $24 because the price of crabmeat is very high.She said I can see the new prices online with their menu. I said okay fine, I understand prices go up. The order comes and there are only 3 shrimp……wtf……I would of ordered something else. I go online to view the menu and a regular order of stuffed shrimp (not the dinner special) is $25. I would of ordered the regular meal. For $4 more dollars I could of got 3 more shrimp……………I feel like I got ripped off. I always order from them too. I call the owner and tell her there are only 3 shrimp……she told me because I got the dinner special!!!!!! I told her I would of got the regular dinner……..but was told what I was ordering was the regular size portion. She said nothing but oh okay I’ll talk to the girl that took your order……….well they won’t be getting my orders anymore….I don’t care what It cost…..I just don’t like to be ripped off!!!!!!
Dining in is great…delivery is not so good..hot food ordered is delivered cold…why put cold and soggy French fries in with a club sandwich…potato chips would be better
Most of the food we’ve had is pretty good. The crab bites appetizer is absolutely delicious! Tastes like crab and not a ton of filler. They have a marinara sauce and a tomato sauce, sometimes I think they forget which is which as far as which goes on chicken parm. The chicken parm is soaked with sauce so it’s no longer crispy. The alla vodka sauce is inconsistent, I hate to say it but sometimes tastes like chef BoyArdee Spaghetti-Os. As for the service can’t speak to in house we always call in. The phone service makes you feel like you’ve inconvenienced them buy calling, you also feel like they’re rushing you off the phone. It’s not like we called to chit chat!
