Fantastic Dining experience. On a recent trip to New York/New Jersey, My fianc and I decided to try Oceanos for the first time. It was by far the best dining experience we had while visiting the area. Setting foot into Oceanos, we were instantly greeted by the warm familiar voice of Frank Sinatra. The steakhouse dcor is sophisticated and inviting (certainly a great place for a romantic night out), and the serving staff are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable of Oceanos vast menu and wine list. After taking a quick glance around the packed restaurant, you cant help but be transported back in time to when dining was meant to be more than a night out, but a celebration. I am happy to say that Oceanos provides this experience, and you get the sense that other patrons (regular and newcomers) recognize this as well. But now on to the food! The Panteleakis familys attention to detail shows in every part of your dining experience. From the artisan olives served with freshly baked bread, to carefully executed classics like fried calamari and bold new interpretations of fresh seasonal salads, they set the stage for a memorable meal. When the main course arrived, both my fianc and I were treated to some of the best surf and turf offerings weve ever had on the east coast. My bronzino topped with a generous portion of fresh crab meat was flaky, moist and expertly seasoned. Similarly, the rib eye steak order by my fianc was seared to perfection and cooked a beautiful medium. As we enjoyed our meal, father and son, Peter and Nikos Panteleakis (the owners of Oceanos) stopped by to see how we were faring. They were warm and friendly, and you couldnt help but notice the pride they shared in their restaurant. Its great to see two generations driving such a wonderful establishment, and how patrons such as ourselves benefit!So to conclude, if you are looking for a memorable night out, one that goes beyond just a good meal or pleasant ambiance, I would highly recommend Oceanos. You will not be disappointed
