It’s Great, but long lines!. My bagel with butter, small coffee with milk and one sugar/black top- Is always Great! The only setback is the long lines! However; that just means that their food is fresh!
It is by far the best bagel around. I don’t know who is saying that this isn’t a good bagel…it is exactly what a bagel should be- a little well done on the outside and doughy on the inside. If anything I would say their bagels aren’t consistent. But when they’re on, they’re by far the best bagel around- I pretty much mean all of central NJ. The closest bagel to theirs in quality is O’Bagel, and there is a family relationship between the two. The negative is definitely the service. As a regular, which I am, they definitely become nicer. I wouldn’t say the favor regulars…I’d just say they finally become personable. The owner is very nice and personable he just isn’t there frequently. If you don’t care about service and are willing to wait, there is no doubt it is worth it for the quality of the bagel. And that’s why I go. Not for more not for less.
Be prepared to wait. They take regulars first, regardless of who’s first in line. I waited 15 minutes for a bagel sandwich and the store was empty.Bagels are soggy and too bready. Eggs are overcooked and dark brown. Cream Cheese is sometimes sour tasting. Avoid.
Fantastic bagels! Love this place for breakfast or lunch. The grilled chicken avocado wrap is delicious!

LOVE this place. Kettleman’s is my favorite place for bagels. I’ve ordered just for me, as well as quite large orders for my co-workers. The Everything and the Russian are my personal favorites. Smoked salmon and the smoked salmon cream cheese spread are consistently high quality. The hummus and the strawberry cream cheese are also good. They twice-toast my bagel with no complaints (I like it crispy!) When my family visits from Texas and Virginia, they ask for Kettleman’s bagels. One of my brothers went three times in one day!
Rude staff! Staff is nasty and grumpy and don’t speak English therefore myOrder is always wrong! Prices change everyday depending on the cashier. Food is good but am sick of the nasty attitudes and will not return. Management do something about this before your business continues to deteriorate!
