Prices are insane for a bar! I walked out after paying $12 for a soda and two beers19 Apr, 2012One of the worst waitresses ever..best filet mignon sandwich & risotto balls were good but small amount of them for the money-probably won’t go back
Dinner experience. Had a very dissappointing experience. After waiting more than 20 minutes for our order I was served the wrong order. My wifes order was correct. Our dilemma was should I wait another 15 minutes for my correct order to come out while my wife’s dinner was getting cold. Decided to cancel my order, requested another plate and shared my wife’s dinner. My dining out experience was ruined. The waitress should have realized the mistake.
Great Name..Horrible everything else!. I recently had a HORRIBLE experience at W.L. Goodfellows in Absecon, New Jersey. I just had to share this cautionary tale…Our rehearsal dinner was a total disaster at this place from start to finish. We were told the private dining area could be separated from the restaurant by privacy shades, but when we arrived we were told there was no such thing and basically called liars by the manager. We had a party of 25 and were promised adequate staff…we weren’t accommodated. I didn’t receive a salad, my fianc didn’t receive a meal, we weren’t offered the desserts we picked or after dinner coffee. When we explained this to the manager he made excuses, got defensive and NEVER apologized! We were charged for meals we didn’t eat and drinks that were supposed to be included. If you are looking for a well organized place with great customer service stay far away from here!
The Good: our waitress Mandy was so great. Very sweet and was always available. The Bad: expensive food that was fair to poor. They used some type of processed cheese on the nachos with very little meat. Jess had the steak salad and there meat was over cooked, chewy and way to seasoned. A glass of house wine 10 bucks ? Had better for a lot less. Sorry good fellows. Thumbs down.
Good place. Meatloaf is awesome. good burgers too. a whole lot of stuff on the menu too much to think of. great atmosphere and bartenders too.
Too much money for horrible food. My husband and I were actually looking for another restaurant which had unfortunately gone out of business since our last visit. We were hungry and it was getting later and Goodfellows was nearby. Horrible mistake. Spent $100 on a so-so meal that we could have gotten elsewhere for far less money. We were still hungry when we left! The Crab bread was mostly melted cheddar on bread, couldn’t even taste the crab. I had the Crab Imperial and it tasted more like mayonnaise than crab. Plus some of the the worst karaoke I have ever heard in the background.
Really good. Try the lasagna. And the bread’s awesome!
