I find that the food here is great when you actually dine in, but not so much when you get take out for some reason. It always used to be good but anymore can be hit or miss when I get take out.
The service was awful. All the waiters were just walking by my table and did not take my order. They were too busy setting other tables up and it was not like there was anyone in there. There was still two hours before closing so it wasn’t like they were getting ready to close. Then when I finally ordered. He didn’t let me finish. I ordered two things and he began to walk away and I had to tell him I was not finished ordering. Then he began to clear the table while my son was still eating off his plate. I had to tell him my son was not finished. Next he began taking all the other dishes and dropped glass plates back on the table. He cleared the table and did not bring a bill for 15 minutes. When he brought the bill I has to wait another 15 minutes for him to come take it. It was just me and my 8 year old son and we were there for almost two hours because of the horrible service. The waiter was setting tables quickly around us that it sounded like he was slamming dishes on the table. I found the wait staff to be rude!!!!! My son asked why he was dropping dishes on the table. I will never dine there again. I’m not going to pay to go out to be treated with poor rude service!!!! I can’t write enough how awful my experience is there!!!!!! The food was not great either!!!!
Chicken Lo Mein, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Angry Crab Rangoon. Terrible, Terrible, TERRIBLE food!!!! My family and I use to go to the Mandarin Court since the 1990’s and the service and food there use to be on point. The people were friendly, the food was delicious, the whole nine yards. However, five years ago our family decided not to eat out as much and focus on home cooked meals. Now in the year 2011 we went there recently for a take out order of Lo Mein, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, and an order of Angry Crab Rangoons. The Lo Mein was overcooked, soggy and not fresh at all. The Chicken and Garlic Sauce was mostly (if not all) vegetables and barely any chicken. And the Angry Crab Rangoons were cold and had little crab or cream cheese inside of it. Mind you we arrived there 5 minutes earlier than the 15 minutes she had told us and the hostess was very curt and rude to us. All and all we had such a terrible experience at Mandarin Court and we will NEVER eat there again. It’s ashame though, we don’t know what happened along the years. Please stay awake from this place.
Looking for a change?. The menu changes regularly, always new flavors and dishes. Almost too much to choose from. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I’d recommend Spicy Thai Shrimp and either Ginger or mango chicken. Finish with HOT towel Swan oranges and lychee nuts. Now I have to go tonight…
