I came here for a Groupon deal: purchase $11 for $20 worth of food. It was my first time yesterday. I don’t use Groupon often so I came here expecting I wouldn’t like it;I literally did dream the night before that I would have a bad experience. BUT rest assure, I was totally wrong. Right off the bat, I can say Tokyo Tasty is better than the nearby sushi places, namely Tomo Sushi in Glassboro and Ginza in Runnemeade, surprisingly. We ordered the: Tokyo Sushi For 2 Love Boat, Jersey Girl Roll, Black Dragon Roll, additional Spicy Tuna Roll, and Edamame. The love boat was huge and beautifully made with leafy centerpieces. It looked too beautiful to eat. Whichever chef made this is one creative person because there was so much details put out into the love boat. Even underneath the plates holding the spicy tuna roll and the wasabi/ginger was more sticky rice (that we ate). Delicious! Also, the love boat comes with miso soup and salad. Next, we were served Jersey Girl Roll and Black Dragon Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Black Dragon Roll is probably the best roll out of my meal at Tokyo Tasty. While the roll looks like it’s smothered with eel sauce, it doesn’t take out the delicate taste of avocado, the shrimp tempura, and definitely accentuates the eel meat. I definitely like the crunchy texture inside versus getting a regular deep-fried roll. Of course, the other rolls were delicious as well. It’s just the right amount of sauce to come with each roll piece. My service was great. We were checked up on constantly by two waitresses and got our rolls served at a good pace (unlike Ginza, which takes over an hour each time.:(). Our waitress was also concerned that we ordered too much to finish so she asked if we want to order the Jersey Girl, Black Dragon, and Spicy Tuna Roll after we see and feel how the Love Boat would fill us up. Very considerate of her. When we decided to continue with our order later during our stay, she remembered right off the bat what we wanted.Overall, I’d come back regularly if I’m South Jersey. Also, they serve beer and have all-you-can-eat on Sundays!
