An experience, but not a food experience. Is this the only restaurant in the US that won’t refill your iced tea?
Best Burgers?? If you can get them.. After seeing a program about White Manna having the best sliders in NJ, I thought it would be nice to take the family there for a Sunday meal. It took us an hour of driving and we arrived at 5:35pm. The restaurants hours are listed as open until 6pm on Sunday. As we approached, clouds of meat smoke billowed from the chimney and the restaurant and parking lot were full of burger chomping people. We walked up to the front door to enter and were surprised to find it locked. We knocked and were ignored. We knocked again and someone inside waved a Sorry were closed sign at us through the window. We tried explaining that we had just driven an hour specifically to try their legendary food and received little more than a disinterested shrug in return. Despite it being nearly half an hour before their advertised closing and peak dinner time we were turned away. In the end, we left disappointed and went elsewhere for dinner. Needless to say, White Manna will not be getting our business and, if our experience is any indication of how they treat their customers, I suggest you dont give them yours either.
Awesome burgers! Similar to White Castle only in size. Similar to the Jersey City Mana but better tasting (and less stabby).Get at least three with cheese, onions, pickles and ketchup and decide for yourself. Skip the fries and save some cash by getting a soda or water elsewhere.Usually crowded and absolutely packed (line out the door) during peak hours.
Excellent!!!. I was visiting my mom this past week in NJ and i stopped here for a late snack and boy i was i pleased. this place only serves sliders. i ordered 2 double cheeseburger sliders and it was so good, i had to order one more before i left. if u love a good burger, this place is for u.
Not bad, not great. Atmosphere was better than the food. Too much cheese and burger patties need a little seasoning. I’d go back but wasn’t my favorite.
Potatoe roll heaven. The burgers are great and nothing compares to them. white castle should not even be in the same sentence. same concept but white manna actually tastes amazing…every time. DEFINITELY worth the wait (and smelling like the place all day afterwards)
Not to be confused with the White Mana in Jersey City. On my first visit years ago, I sat right in front of the grill – with burgers and onions sizzling before my eyes. I was instantly in love although I had to wash my down jacket when I got home to get the onion smell out!The small, freshly made burgers are a perfect American treat. The freshness and flavor can be a revelation to anyone who has grown up on patties from places like McDonald’s. I’m good for 2 or three cheese burgers with fries (you order them separately). And while I like onions, I have learned to tell the cooker to leave them on the grill – a little strong for my constitution these days. However, this place is not associated with the White Mana on Rt 1/9 in Jersey City. I drove past that place for years when I attended St Peter’s College and later when I worked as an adjunct in their chem labs. Finally, a few months ago, out of curiosity, I stopped in and was amazed how flavorless and dry their burgers are. I have never gone back.My advice, go to Hackensack for a better burger experience.
