We didn't get much to eat while we were here so I can't comment too much on the food. We had a pot of tea and hummus, both were fine. What really both…

Gluten Friendly? Glutton Free?. When looking online, this restaurant was listed as gluten friendly. I have celiac disease. Our waiter, though friendly, did not seem to know anything about gluten issues, which surprised me considering the Gluten Friendly listing. He did not seek out the manager for more information. I ended up ordering eggs as a safer option. Our meal arrived in 40 long minutes. We had not ordered anything complicated. The food was average. We had to get up and search for the waiter to get some jam, and more coffee. My feeling was that the waiter had not received proper training. The manager was not on the ball. Outside was an advertising sandwich board for the restaurant. It offered a chocolate cake dessert, glutten free.
This is some of the best food I’ve ever had. The fish and chips are perfect and the burgers are to die for. The wait staff is also excellent and super friendly. I will definitely be returning here on a regular basis. I highly recommend trying this place, you won’t be disappointed!
Some people just don’t understand good fish and chips!. I’ve eaten here a few times and have loved it each time. A friendly and spunky troop of ladies buzz around the chip and have kept us happy each visit, even when the wait ran a bit long. We’ve tried a couple Indo- British dishes which were inventive and delicious. Recently a naan pizza with curried onions and masala sauce.Their tea and scone selection is both superb and unique, and lastly, the fish and chips here are some of the best I’ve had.The fish was light and fresh and the batter nice and crispy. Not too heavy and not too light. The chips were proper thick cut chips and soaked up vinegar and salt. This place highlights some of the best of British cuisine- quiet, homey kind of food. We’ll be back!
Unseasoned fish, Tasteless batter, fried in old oil. yuk! Slow service, never got our app.
Bland?. Got some fish and chips that had absolutely no taste. Not even a fishy taste. No taste at all. It took 45 mins. to get my food. Waitresses weren’t that nice either. I have had better fish at fast food places. If this is what that eat in England I feel bad for those folks.
Great food! Great service! Couldn’t ask for more…
Not sure I would go back. We had the fish and chips, which I have to say, were very good. However, upon being seated, and after waiting 15 minutes, we had to flag down a server just to get our wine opened. After that, the service just went down hill even further. This is a great little restaurant, but they really need to get their act together in the table service department.
