Just an average thai food place! The items are usually under seasoned and not as juicy. It’s just a little on the drier side for me. I’ve tried thai red curry, chicken drunken noodles and vegetetian pad thai. Drunken noodles were better than the rest b/c the texture of the chicken was nicely done. Place itself is not fancy. I might order take out again since it’s close by
Ever since I noticed this restaurant in the restaurant listings, I wanted to try it as an alternative to Penang, which had gotten far too crowded. Parking is very tight out in front of the restaurant. I didn’t see any signs so I had no idea more parking was available around the back of the row of stores. Coco is a smaller restaurant than Penang but we were early so we had no problem getting booth seating.What we noticed is some of the staff at Coco came from Penang restaurant so this restaurant may as well be an offshoot of the other. Service was very good. The food was about as good as one can find around here for Malaysian food. We tried the Gado Gado, Curry Chicken, Cantonese Chow Fun, and Curry Mee Yong Tofu. (Curry Stuffed Combination Noodle) Each dish was well done and we finished everything with no complaints.Prices are reasonable for an ethnic restaurant. It’s not a particularly upscale place. And finally, I noted that the restroom was reasonably clean, although that poster of Cindy Crawford seemed dated, from a bygone era.
Not The Same. We used to love this place. Now, with the new manager, it’s horrible! Just ordered some food from them, everything tasted blah, plus chicken satay was not edible- burnt badly. I called and new manager offered to bring it back. Since we live far, i offered to send picture of it to get money return. Manager was nasty, laud, and acted like if he was NYPD investigator, investigating a fraud…he kept asking : so, how burnt was it ? He made it clear he didn’t trust us and wouldn’t give a credit . I promised him a bad review and said he just lost us as customers. Then, he kept calling back on my cell, which , I thought was a little inappropriate, since I didn’t give him permission to do so . I was upset because while trying to explain myself to the point of almost apologizing , my other dishes became cold and ugly…So, here you have it.
Delicious, mouthwatering food!!!. My friends and I went to restaurant. Nice ambience, very friendly people. Great Service. Food was delicious. I will come back here with my family and will highly recommend to my friends.CoCo is a RockCo….
Coco has great green papaya salad, roti, and noodles.. It’s hard to find shredded green papaya salad in central New Jersey, but Coco has it and it is really tasty. We also liked the Udon noodles (huge portion in a brown gravy for 7.95– it could feed two people easily) and the Indian Mee Goreng was excellent– piquant but not insanely spicy. Good chicken Wonton soup for the kids and the dumplings and Roti were excellent as well. Really friendly staff– this is a good place with a wide variety of choices. They are also putting in a sushi bar. Big thumbs up.
First of all this place is NOT cheap. $7.00 for 6 tiny skewers? Also some $12 dishes look as though are leftovers and barely cover the container. Generally speaking, the food is delicious
Delicous food. The food there tastes really good. i really like their marmite chicken. the food there is also really cheap.
