Not worth it. I went to this restaurant last week and it was thee worst experience ever!! I am Peruvian and I know Peruvian food. One) the waiter was rude and obviously doesn’t know that Peruvian empanadas are BAKED not fried. Two )I ordered ceviche and the fish pieces were huge and instead of lettuce as decoration there was spinach and there were ingredients missing from this dish , also there wasn’t enough food for $14 I left hungry. My boyfriend ordered the pollo a La Brasa which was cold when it was brought out and was served with red kidney beans and yellow rice (Hello I’ve never known a Peruvian to traditionally make yellow rice). To top it all off I asked for the aji verde picante (Spicy green sauce) and what I got was honey mustard mixed with I don’t know what. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO REPRESENT MY CULTURE THE WAY THAT IT DID. HORRIBLE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE ,STAFF WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY CLEARLY ARE NOT PERUVIAN. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Tasty South American Cuisine. I have eaten food from Tete twice, once as take out and once in the restaurant. For the take out we had the empanadas, Lomito Saltado, and the Aji de Gallina. At the second go round we had the Tallarin Saltado Criollo and Bistec a lo Pobre. I must say, if you are visiting this restaurant definitely try the Lomito or Tallarin. All of the dishes are absolutely amazing, have great flavor and are probably something you’ve never had before. The Lomito/Tallarin have perfectly tender steak, onions and tomatoes in a flavorful sauce. The Aji de Gallina has a creamy garlic sauce that is wonderful with rice and the Bistec a lo Pobre also has a great steak, a perfectly cooked egg, plantains that are crispy on the outside and sweet on the inside, and a slightly spicy green sauce on the side. Whatever you order you will have a great meal. Try it out!
Amazing food and very helpful staff every time
