First impression is that you are dining inside of an old Italian home, very loud, very Jersey. Service is inept, at best, and you get the impression that the servers are all cousins and grandchildren of the owners. The food, however, is typically excellent. Old Italian recipes are executed by a fairly talented crew of Hispanics, who do, at times, err on the side of over-saucing everything. Solid BYOB restaurant in a town with a shortage, and if you beat the crowds, you have a 75% chance of having an enjoyable dinner. If you hit one of the 25% kind of nights, then hopefully you’ve chosen your wine wisely, and it won’t much matter.
