We always enjoy Charritos. Bring your wine for sangria and order the queso fundido and guac as starters. I haven’t tried anything I haven’t liked. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent Mexican food. I’m a huge fan of traditional Mexican cuisine and Charrito’s pulls it off perfectly. While the prices are a bit high for Mexican food, the dishes are fantastic. We usually go to this one instead of the downtown Charrito’s simply because they accept reservations here. Plus this one is a little bit roomier (but not much). My wife is grew up in California and is half Mexican, so she has eaten plenty of traditional Mexican food both at family functions and restaurants in California, but she still agrees that Charrito’s is the best Mexican restaurant she’s even been to. It’s so good, we even held an east coast wedding reception at the Charrito’s in Weehawken. Excellent food and BYOB (Hoboken only) makes it the perfect place!
Best Mexican in Hudson County. One of 4 small BYOB spots of the same name in Hoboken and Jersey City. We always go to this one. I presume it’s the same experience in all. This is full on great authentic Mexican food. Layers upon layers of traditional mexican flavors. Great breath of selections as well. It’s a bit cramped being such a small place, but the service manages to cope.Only complaint is that they lack a liquor license. Would really prefer to have a beer, but if you bring a bottle of wine they’ll make sangria for you.
