I tried this sushi restaurant after trying Sushi Lounge and found the quality of the sushi to be superior. It was evident by the atmosphere within each establishment and the quality here was superb.I had a lobster roll along with a jalapeo tuna roll.Ill be returning with a party of 11 others and will add additional input afterwards.Very refreshing to be in an establishment with owners present who are constantly on top of the servers, quality and outside delivery services.Make Sushi House your first choice when you are dreaming about the best. You wont be sorry.11/27/17I was in Hoboken for business and decided to eat again at the Sushi House locates at 155 First Street. I wasnt sure what to expect since my visit was for lunch.I decided to stay with lean and light so I ordered a salmon, avocado and mango roll along with a spicy tuna roll. The wait staff couldnt have been nicer. They were made in front of me and the visual presentation was beautiful and the taste of each, outrageous.I eat sushi and sashimi in Fairfield County and none compares to this quality.Id recommend any sushi buffs out this on your must visit and eat list.Overall rating: 5 Stars
Ehhhh. Sushis ok I had better. It’s a hit or miss here that’s the only problem. Sometimes they’re good sometimes they’re not so sometimes I’m like ‘ehhhh’ and wish for the best lol
Mediocre sushi and bad service
I miss the Tsunami roll!. I moved to MIami a few months ago and have yet to find a roll as tasty as the tsunami roll. I tried asking people down here to make it and even and a friend text me a picture of the ingredients from the menu but it didnt work. Guess I’ll have to make a trip back to boken.
Oh BTW they have 2 locations, the one with a bar is on Washington- uptown, and the other one is BYOB- downtown. Previous review is for the uptown location. Go Sushi House!!14 Jun, 2010Best sushi place in Hoboken (hence the name) by far!! They’ve got awesome back patio that is just too cute for words, decor is tasteful, atmosphere and ambiance are up to par. As a regular there, I can assure you that their food is consistent and fish is always fresh, you might wait awhile during busy nights, but that’s understandable. The last time I went, I was with 3 of my friends and we sat at the bar, we had such a good time, I did not want to leave…. Shout out to Margarita, best bartender ever!! The music was going, from The Beetles, to CCR, to Elton John’s Benny and the Jets, oh man. I’m going back again this week, hands down best Japanese place– don’t forget to order their famous Sake Bomb when you get there!
